How Starting a Work Session Works
When you open Work Desk, Hubly automatically starts a Work Session for you. You don't need to do anything — your queue organizes itself and your first task is ready the moment the page loads.
What a Work Session Is
A Work Session is a focused, structured block of prioritized work. Think of it as Hubly setting up your day for you — surfacing the right clients, in the right order, so you can move through work without stopping to figure out what comes next.
The session ensures your queue stays consistently ordered throughout your day, even as tasks are completed and new work comes in.
Starting Your Day
Open your Work Desk from your Hubly navigation by clicking "Start a Work Session"
A brief loading moment occurs while Hubly organizes your queue
Your Client Queue appears, already prioritized and ready
That's it. No configuration, no manual sorting, no decisions about where to start.
During a Work Session
As you complete tasks and move through your queue, Work Desk keeps your work organized. Completed items fall away and remaining work stays in priority order.
If anything interrupts your session — a browser refresh, a quick break — your queue reloads and re-organizes automatically when you return.
If New Work Doesn't Appear Right Away
Your Client Queue reflects a snapshot of your assigned work from the moment your session started. If a new task is assigned to you while your session is already open, it may take a few minutes to show up.
After you exit a Work Session, Hubly refreshes in the background — typically within 3–5 minutes.
Starting a new Work Session after that window will include anything assigned to you in the meantime.
Don't want to wait? You can trigger a hard refresh of your browser at any time to pick up new work sooner.
This is expected behavior, not a bug — if a task you know was assigned to you isn't showing up after a hard refresh and a few minutes have passed, please let us know.
