How to Embed SOPs and Training Guides
Work Desk brings training content directly into the tasks where it's needed. Instead of searching for a process guide or asking a colleague, the right instructions are right there when you open a task.
Where Training Content Lives
Training videos, instructions, and reference links are embedded inside individual tasks by your firm's administrators when building workflows in the Workflow Builder. As a Work Desk user, you access them automatically when you open a task.
Viewing Training Content
Click See Details on any task in the Workflow tab
The Task Details panel opens on the right side of the screen
If training content has been added to that task, you'll see it at the bottom of the panel:
Videos — embedded training videos play directly inside the panel (no new tab required)
Links — reference documents, SOPs, or external guides open in a new tab when clicked
What Types of Content Can Be Embedded
You can attach any video hosted on YouTube, Vimeo, or a compatible platform. They can also add links to external documents, SOPs, Loom recordings, or any web-based resource.
For Administrators: Adding Training Content
Training content is added to tasks inside the Workflow Builder. Open a workflow, select a task, and use the video and link fields to attach resources. Once saved, that content appears automatically for anyone working that task in Work Desk.
The benefit: New team members can follow a process correctly from day one — without manager intervention, without searching, and without leaving the task they're completing.
